Oh the joys of cartography! We had all manner of issues getting our process to work for LotRO, but eventually devised a way to laboriously cut and paste location information into Notepad. Good ol' Notepad... I loved making maps for LotRO, it was so very rewarding, even if horrifically time consuming!

Another Gods and Heroes take... I do love me some Asterix, wish they really were minions in the game!
Yes, I am a judgmental cow when it comes to names, particularly in a fantasy MMO setting. Now I know, I know, the names above don't violate the rules in any games I play, but they MAKE ME EYE TWITCH!
Now I'll tell you the tale of one of our best friends, Charles Pickering, who makes me look downright tolerant. He used to intentionally shoot, mangle or run over anyone with more than one X in their name when we played Planetside 2, whether they were friend or foe. He was always the driver in our vehicles, and we occasionally got dumped from the tank or death bus when he exceeded the friendly kill limit, having encountered yet another XxXXDarkKnightXXxX on our team. SPLAT. Back in the day, I used to exhibit my art as well. If I could make a living at it, I would, but it was never a secure paycheck, so here I am.
Lillefors is my maiden name, and I still use it for all of my fine art pieces. Sorry about the quality of repro on this one, I may have a better one here somewhere, buried in sedimentary layers of art stuff. I may even have some prints left of this picture, it was pretty popular at the time. Faun IV, Dancer I wanted to be sure to give this faun a proper goat rump, hips and pelvis - the hind legs of a goat do NOT mesh well with a human pelvis, and it always drove me nuts to see it in other depictions of this type. Let me know if it's ok with you folks to drop in occasional "other bits" with the comics. Now this one is definitely LotRO. We had such a blast in Beta, where Wren wrote up some of the best quest guides EVER for our site, all lost to time now, sadly. We still get annoyed when we search for quests online and find sites that simply state, talk to this guy, he tells you to get something, hand it in. DUH, thanks, we can already read that in game, that is the information we DON'T need. It makes me grumbly to still see those sites making money from ads.
Here's to Wren and her excellent research and writing skills. And her toes. Apparently they are pretty, pretty. ;-)# |
